Did you know that in just 2 years from purchase, your microwave oven could be emitting dangerous levels of radiation?
Microwave radiation is odourless and invisible, however it can be detected by specially designed leakage meters. High Voltage Test and Tag use detectors with advanced sensors which can detect discharging microwave radiation levels accurately.
Leakage can be caused by slamming the oven door, leaving food particles on the hinges or seals, worn seals or general wear and tear. Our testing and reporting process will ensure your microwave oven is safe for use around your family home or workplace.
According to AS/NZS 60335.2.25, microwave exposure levels must not exceed 5mW/cm2. It is recommended that all microwave ovens (including residential) are inspected at least every 12 months.
Once tested, if safe, your microwave oven will be tagged indicating the radiation levels it is emitting and your re-test date. You will be notified immediately if levels are exceeding the 5mW/cm2 standard. A full inspection report will be provided upon completion.
